274/366 - Record player. . . almost antique?!

Today Sonny Jim was given a record player by his Nagymama. To him it is like an antique and endlessly fascinating!

227/366 - Ruby Bay looking towards Nelson - Snapseed-enhanced!

Photo manipulated in iPhone "Snapseed" app - straightened slightly and 90% Drama filter added

The original photo
And this is why I think Snapseed is one of the best photo manipulation apps out there - it took 30 secs or less to transform the photo above.

56/366 - "Shadow Puppet" at the Embassy Cinema, Wellington

Sonny Jim spent several minutes fascinated by dancing around watching his shadow on the tiled floor of the Embassy Cinema. . . where we watched the Hunger Games.

37/366 - Fresh rain on harakeke (NZ flax) and palm tree

I only took two photos today. I snapped these shots a few metres away from each other right next to my office this morning, using my iPhone, then tweaked them with my snapseed app this evening.

Like a parent with two children, I just couldn't choose between them - so it's "two-for-the-price-of-one" today!!

24/366 - Storm clouds gather over Tahunanui beach

Snapped on the way home from Nelson this evening. If you look really closely you can just about make out the kite-surfers in the distance. Heavy rain forecast for tomorrow. . .

22/366 - "Aotearoa" mural by Christopher Finlayson, 1984

Adorning the old Electricity Department building, Tahunanui, Nelson

Subtitled: "We need to keep the window open on our relationships and let nature merge the connections."

Photo taken on iPhone and then manipulated using the "Snapseed" app from iTunes.
The little one above was was the original photo. . . but then I played around with it using Snapseed (downloaded today from iTunes for only NZ$6.49 and it's well worth it!) and got the two photos below. . .
I added a frame to the one on the right, in order to create the finished shot at the top. All in a matter of seconds. Wow! Thanks for the recommendation, R!!
